Pejuhutazizi (pronounced peh zhoo tuh zee zee) means "Yellow Medicine".  The land called Pejuhutazizi qapi (the place where they dig for yellow medicine) is the area bordering the Minnesota River Valley.  It has been the homeland of the Dakota Oyate (Nation), for thousands of years.
